Shopaholism: AC Gears, NYC

The Japanese are good at making gadgets and audio equipment so of course the idea for AC Gears makes perfect sense.  Located just above the NYU area, on 8th St. between University Place and Broadway, AC Gears presents a selection of the finest gadgets, accessories and toys, most (but not all) of which are from Japan.  Inside the very modern store you'll find USB Drives made to look like super heroes, lots of head phones, sculpted metal iphone cases and funny alarm clocks.  When you go, you might not always leave with something but it's guaranteed to be a good time regardless.
