Aiko Mural on Bowery and Houston
After working plenty of late nights earlier in the month, Lady Aiko completed her mural on
. The beautiful Japanese inspired work replaces the rather bland Retina design which went up earlier this year.
Aiko, who was originally part of the Brooklyn artist collective
becomes the first woman street artist in recent memory to have their work emblazoned on the huge space on Houston Street's north side. The mural's stencil style which features plenty of purple, pink and gold accents should remain up through the fall. We can't wait to see what's next for the space!
