The Look Bag: The Newest Beauty Bag on the Block
I'm a huge fan of beauty boxes/bags. So far, I've only tried Birchbox, but now there are a bunch of different beauty boxes (like Luxe Box, New Beauty's TestTube, and Michelle Phan's MyGlam) competing for ultimate girly glory.
I recently got to try The Look Bag, a new beauty sample subscription. The Look Bag comes from
The Look Store, an online shop created by the co-founder of E! Entertainment Television, Alan Mruvka.
This month's The Look Bag focuses on skin and haircare, and I was happily surprised to find that the majority of the products are either vegan, organic, or environmentally friendly in some way. That already sets this bag apart from the others. Also, I've never heard of any of the beauty brands included in the bag before. This could be either a turn on to girls willing to try new products, or a turn off to girls that want to recognize that brand of the product they're using. For me, I think it's fun trying everything that's out there, because you never know when you're going to find that holy grail product.
Kim Vo
Brilliant Luster Glaze
Can't wait to try this because my hair gets super dry in the winter, even though it's not color-treated.
Suki
Skincare
Sensitive Cleansing Bar
This smells amazing, it has a citrusy-herbal scent similar to something you might find at L'Occitane.
Cherry Jack Couture
Sweet Vanilla Frosting Body Creme
Perfect for girls that love sweet scents. Honestly I was a little turned off by the strong scent at first, but once it settles into the skin the scent it's amazing - and it has a very dense, luxurious texture.
Cailyn Cosmetics
Water Drops
My skin is so dry, and I've tried a million different moisturizers, so I can't wait to see if this works for my skin!
Kelly Teegarden Organics
Vitality Eye Cream
I don't currently use an eyecream, so I'm interested in seeing what this can do. It says it can reduce puffiness and dark circles, so we'll see!
O.N.E. Skincare
Nourishing Supplement
This one's a bonus sample - it's made from organic olive oil and vitamin E.
I'd definitely recommend The Look Bag to girls that want to try new and up-and-coming brands, which is why I made it one of our "Blogger Picks". Subscribe to The Look Bag
for $10/month.
Disclaimer: I was sent The Look Bag for review purposes. As always, my opinions are 100% honest.
