Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia Gala @ Urban Outfitters Headquarters

This past weekend was the 14th annual Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia Gala.  The evening, called Evening in the Yard was held at the Urban Outfitters Home Office at Philadelphia's historic navy yard.  Not only was it a great night to honor cancer survivors and build awareness and support for those going through treatment but it was a cool opportunity for attendees to look behind the scenes at the Anthropologie / Free People / Urban Outfitters headquarters which is housed inside a meticulously redesigned and repurposed ship building and repair facility.

Inside the space which still retains some of its original industrial finishes, elements from old-world ships are juxtaposed against brightly painted walls, plant-life and even a koi pond with a Buddha statue in it.  The huge building (which must be both a pleasant and relaxing place to work) made a wonderful setting for the gala, which brought together hundreds of people sitting at beautifully decorated tables for cocktails, dinner and an auction.  See more pictures from the event below, and learn more about the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia here.
