Joomi Lim F/W 2012 Jewelry @ Capsule NY

I remember when I walked into Opening Ceremony last year and saw Joomi Lim's line of spike and skull adorned jewelry.  I was impressed not only by the design aesthetic, which is both punky and beautiful, but by the quality of the construction of each piece.  At Capsule NY, Joomi herself was there to present her F/W 2012 collection and we had the pleasure of talking with her about her badass work.

Joomi Lim has the luxury of having her line stocked at some of the finest retailers around the world including Bergdorf Goodman, Opening Ceremony and I.T (one of Hong Kong's largest fashion retailers).  Consequently, she is able to maintain her exclusivity and keep a close eye on the production process- the result is nothing short of amazing.  Her trademark spikes and dark metals are present throughout the collection, but the addition of pearls and stones allows for added femininity for those looking for a somewhat more girly vibe.  Titanium coated cuffs and more elaborate necklaces best suited for cocktail parties and fashion events round out the F/W 2012 season and make for one of our favorite jewelry displays at Capsule.  Not only is the line innovative but it is perfectly suited to our style.
