A Concept in Motion by Steven Colucci Benefiting Herzog Hospital

New York's finest came out last night to support Herzog Hospital and artist (and Renaissance man) Steven Colucci. Born in NYC, Colucci's work reflects a deep understanding of life, movement, and dance. Not limiting himself to just paint, Colucci has also studied pantomime in Paris, creates couture gowns based on his own work, and has an artist-based reality show in the works. Our favorite piece(s) from the show were the paintings done on Priority Mail boxes from the post office, which added a little street-art style to the gallery (see above). The show was curated by Jacquelyn Lipp of Streetwater Arts.

Aside from meeting Colucci himself, other highlights from the event included sampling vodka from Medea, whose bottles sport programmable scrolling LED lights, which we could see being a huge hit at clubs. The food by Mark Fahrer Catering was also out of this world, our favorite app being the fried macaroni and cheese balls. All in all, the night was a success in raising funds for the hospital and meeting an array of serious characters from all walks of life in NYC. Check out some party photos below, and learn more about the art of Steven Colucci here.
