NYC Marathon 2011

We love watching the NYC marathon, and this year we did it from Williamsburg, Brooklyn at mile 11.5. As usual, it was so inspiring to see all of these people (47,000, to be exact) performing amazing athletic feats, and the crowd enthusiastically cheering them on. There were people of all ages and nationalities - we spotted a lot of proud French and Italian runners, as well as grandmas giving it their all in arm-powered wheelchairs. The crowd even got in on the action, as we watched a small group of people hand out bananas to very thankful runners. Check out some pics and a short video from the marathon below.
