Sneak Peek: Nike Air Force 1 Low Premium 'Denim'

Another great Air Force 1 has hit retailers and I did not pass up the opportunity to purchase these gems. This is one of my top two releases of the year, including the YOTR Air Forces. What makes this shoe such a sought after release is the demand for a readily available Denim Air Force. We have seen the limited Kobe Denim Hyperstrikes as well as multiple Denim Bespokes, and so this shoe was necessary. See more after the jump for more pics and review.

It would have been one thing if Nike released this shoe as a General Release with sub par quality, but in reality, the quality is great for a Premium Release. The denim encompasses the entire upper and creates a very comfortable base. Set off by a light brown midsole, and gum sole, the color combinations flow exquisitely well together. The final touch of the bronze swoosh and stitching, give a great contrast to the dark denim.

With the features stated above, any sneaker enthusiast would have been satisfied, but Nike went above and beyond on this release. A full grain leather swatch hangtag, and tongue tag also grace the presence of this shoe. These two details match accordingly with heel tab, which also flaunts a new Nike Logo. The final touches, although the least significant for the appearance of the shoe, are the inserts on the insoles. Surprisingly, they do add a touch of comfort to the shoe.

I could not let this release go by without grabbing two pairs. My idea for one pair is to make it a test dummy for modifications. The first change I made was removing the tongue tag. Although it was a very nice touch, Nike made it too large. It sits well above the tongue and thus seems out of place. My future plans are to fade the denim as well as fray the edges to give it a more vintage look. Stay tuned for future reviews on many popular shoe releases!
