Hurricane Irene in Photos - Queens, NYC

After all the hoopla that was associated with Irene, I'm happy to report that in my part of Queens, severe damage and flooding seems to be limited. It might be because the tornado last year took down a significant amount of old trees but  solifestyle survived just fine.  I got out my bike this morning, flat tires and all, to give you a look at what my neighborhood looks like.  More photos below.
