Cool Houses: Half-Under-Water Hotel
Ok, so I'm kind of cheating with this one, it's not really a house, it's a an inn. And there's more to it than meets the eye, because half of this crazy place is underwater! Strategically placed in the middle of a lake in Sweden, this funny looking house consists of a kitchen/dining area and terrance above the water, while a ladder leads to the sleeping quarters below (sleep with the fishes! couldn't resist). More pics & info after the jump.
Utter Inn employees will transport you to this amazing place in the middle of Lake Malaren via power boat. Once at the inn, you can cook your own food in the tiny kitchen or have meals boated to you. There's also a small row boat provided so you can explore the lake and it's surroundings. The word's out on where you use the bathroom...just use your imagination I guess. The bedroom has windows so you can wave hi to all of the confused sea life around you. Rates are about $160/night.
