Unique New York: His & Hers Exhibit

Right now, the Museum at FIT is presenting 'His & Hers' an exhibit that looks at the gender bending role of fashion in the past 50 years.  There was once a time where men's and women's clothing were very defined. Men in elegant 3-piece suits and women in beautiful dresseswith no deviation from the standard.  We've come a long way from that time.  Women wear tuxedos and men wear skirts- high fashion has played a large part in that transition.  The exhibit features pieces from modern designers like McQueen, Comme des Garcons juxtaposed against beautiful clothing items from the last 300 years.
