Music Moment: Selah Sue

Before I get into this post, I'd like to apologize to the pretty lady working in the snowboard shop in France for window shopping only to ask what music was playing on your stereo and then leaving your store.  Whew, now that I got that out of the way I feel much better and I can talk about a great artist I found in France who goes by the name Selah Sue.

Born in Belgium, Selah Sue is only in her early 20's but she made some big splashes in 2011 with her self titled debut album. The record went platinum once in France and twice in Belgium.  Lucky for us English speakers, she sings in English and her soulful indie music (and her hair) hints at a slightly edgier version of Amy Winehouse.  I found the whole album really easy to listen to all the way though - no skipping necessary. I really recommend it to anybody looking from a change of pace musically from the typical pop and hip hop we're inundated with daily here in the USA.  Check out some of the hit singles from Selah Sue's album below.
